I grew up on a small farm, where we grew lots of vegetables and also raised rabbits, goats, chickens, sheep, cows, and pigs. I live in the suburbs, now, and I still enjoy working on the land and nurturing edible plants. Our suburban mini-farm produces fresh food from May through November, and we enjoy preserves in the intervening months. As you can see, even a small space can be transformed into a highly productive food forest!
