With this project, I was a bit more ambitious than with the first lasercut maul. I used an electrolysis bath to remove the rust, which preserves details like stamped areas on parts. In this project, I used model paint to fill in the stamped areas to highlight the original stamps on the maul head.
I again used a lasercutter to etch inspirational sayings into the wooden handle to help motivate the hard-working woodsplitter.
