I taught a friend how to make mead, and in exchange, he showed me the basics of timber framing. I used this new knowledge to timber frame a shed.
This project in total took about 180 hours. I cut the timbers by hand (and unfortunately lost all photos of that process due to a hard drive crash), dug out the foundation, and had help raising the frame and putting on the cedar siding. Overall I am quite pleased with the result, with the exception of the color — “cedar naturaltone” paint is not actually a natural cedar color!
