Angie and I built this set of three attached compost bins shortly after we moved into our current home. They’ve been improved over the years by adding additional slats so that each 4’x3′ section can be completely filled up, and a lid and metal hardware cloth to control rodents.
The above photo shows the compost bins in full use. The bin on the left is empty and waiting to receive turned compost. The center bin has composting material in it and has the lid on it to keep rodents out. The bin on the right has finished compost, waiting to be applied to the garden.
