We have a small-ish house, so it’s important to optimize the space we have. I built these shelves to hold our media center, console gaming systems, and a/v setup, as well as books and other items.
Everything is built of quartersawn white oak that was milled from my parent’s farm. It’s custom fitted to the room. I modeled this section of the living room in Sketchup so that I could easily visualize different ideas before settling on this design.
Only the top and bottom shelves are fixed — each in-between shelf resets on moveable shelf pins that can easily be repositioned.
