There were a bunch of tools with broken handles (mostly mauls) hanging out at my parent’s farm. Replacement handles are easy to find online, so I cleaned up the tool heads, sharpened them on a bench grinder, and painted them with SEM EZ Coat, which is great at bonding to and protecting metal.
I used a lasercutter to etch inspirational sayings into the wooden handles to help motivate the hard-working woodsplitter.
