Our old mailbox broke. I didn’t love any of the new mailboxes that were available at a reasonable price, and this is a pretty simple thing to build, so I built one.
The wood is quartersawn white oak that’s been watersealed. I used a piano hinge on the lid, and the lasercutter to etch our last names and business names into the mailbox.
